Welcome to season 2 ep 1! In this raw and inspiring episode, Dani shares her personal journey of her high-risk pregnancy, including PPROM at 23 weeks, hospital stays, a month of bed rest, and the challenges of delivering baby Savannah at just 31 weeks due to HELLP syndrome. Dani opens up about her emergency c section, eclampsia, and NICU experience, and the emotional and physical toll it took on her and her supportive husband Alex.
As a new Mum, she navigated the complexities of returning home whilst her baby was still in the hospital, daily visitis and pumping in NICU, to bringing Savannah home, breastfeeding, sleep deprivation and weaning. Now, as thriving 1-year-old, Dani is excited for Savannah to make friends in daycare soon, whilst she is feeling positive about returning to part time work.
Dani also offers a crucial reminder to everyone to regularly get their skin checked and be aware of the signs of melanoma, sharing her own surgical recovery story after being diagnosed with melanoma on her face.
Tune in for an insightful, vulnerable and educational conversation on pregnancy, NICU births, motherhood and health challenges. Thank you Dani for opening up on some emotional and vulnerable topics.
Love the Patty’s.
