Ever dreamed of being paid to travel around the world? Enter Karin from SV Delos, along with her husband Brian and daughter Sierra, for the last 13 years they have been sailing and traveling around the world on their yacht Delos. Karin talks us through the decision to have a child, taking control of her own fertility and for the first time in her life really understanding her cycle. Karin was lucky to have a very straight forward pregnancy and speaks about how easy it was even whilst island hopping to get ultrasounds and prenatal checks. It wasn't until getting to the US that they faced any resistance and ultimately made the choice to go back to Sweden (Karin's home) to deliver her baby. She speaks on the amazing prenatal and postnatal care given in Sweden (all for free) and the transition back to sailing with a baby. This is a beautifully honest conversations on how hard working from home with kids is, running a business and trying to find balance in your relationship after kids. Karin opens up about really loosing her identity after becoming a mother and how the soul consuming role of "mum" can pay a real price on our 'self'. Whilst living the dream of sailing around the world has so many highs, Karin also talks on how easy and nice it is having a change and living on land, while they build their next boat.
