55 | Taneeka: From 1 to 3 children after twins, peri/ postnatal depression, Positive Vaginal Birth, Induction Experience, SAHM Life & Traveling with Kids

Season #6

Patty's we know you love a birth story, and Taneeka has kindly shared both her positive vaginal birth's- first with her son and then with her twin girls. This chat is so wholesome for mothers in all phases of life. Neek's talks on making the choice to be a full time SAHM after finding out she was pregnant with the girls. This  was a difficult decision, as returning to work after having her son was a 'mind break' ; the identity shift of not "working" for the first time was hard to navigate. Although we all know the hardest and most rewarding "job" in the world is being a Mum, we all feel the guilt of needing to be more. We open up on the jump from 1 to 2/3 kids, and the grief you feel for your first borns; being pulled in so many directions.  We chat the growth your heart feels at welcoming more children into your life, the special bonds between siblings, and how we need to lower the expectations on older siblings and remember they are little too. Neek’s speaks on feeling so anxious overwhelmed and mentally flat in her first pregnancy, and how taking time for herself- working out at the gym and listening to other women's stories,  made her feel less alone. Her pregnancy and birth with the girls was very healing for  her motherhood wound, we also touch on travelling with the children, and the amazing experience of caravan travel with her family. Please share this with any other twin mums,  pregnant or postpartum women. You are amazing.

Love Patty. xxx
